Best value around

Installed a replacement a/c unit for one that died. Explained everything including what the previous contractor had done to cut corners. Installers treated the house as if it was their own. Polite, neat and extremely thorough, couldn’t have had an easier install.
The best there is
From estimates, to price, to actual installation, Casteel and Ryan Huprich made it easy and simple. The Trane system is fantastic. Considering the agony of installing/paying for a new A/C and Htg system, it couldn’t be better. Their guarantee and employees reflect their quality. Allen Walters, Roswell, GA.
Can you say this about your HVAC technicians? Want to? Call us at Casteel Heating and Cooling…we’ll treat you special!

Casteel prides itself on it’s customer service and these 5 Star reviews are proof that they can deliver on their promises!

Happy Customer!!
Well, in this economy the last thing I wanted to do was spend money on my ac, and when I saw the “no cost for freon” Casteel had in their commercial, I assumed (as a person of reasonable intelligence, right?) that there had to be some sort of catch.
Well I am here to tell you that is not the case. While their diagnostic charge was about 5$ more than a larger company I won’t name, I found their prices to be more than fair, and the free freon to more than pay for that 5$.
Additionally, everyone I spoke to at Casteel was a complete delight! From the customer service reps who apparently were actually educated in customer service, to the technician that came out-everyone really cared and gave that “family company” service, which I just feel like some companies have lost that in a misguided effort to be the cheapest. They have a new customer for life!
And another 5 Star!
Best around!! Best Value!!
We searched Kudzu and found Casteel, needless to say these guys are great! A few comments left me somewhat skeptical on Kudzu, but after their service I was certain that they are the best. We have two houses and unfortunatley Casteel could not service our East Atlanta home and it cost us a fortune. Casteel came to our home and was not initially able to repair, so they advised me that they would send out another tech (who was better equiped for the system we had). We were fortunate that they did so as any other contracter would have likely charged us to replace our equipment (very expensive i might add) but Casteel sent their best tech and was able to fix it at no additional cost to us. On top of it, they DO NOT charge for freon. If you shop around, you will find that this is very expensive and is a huge cost savings. I would recommend casteel to anyone.

(Reriani Communications)— Bob Casteel has a lot to be thankful for and shows his appreciation just as those who know him would expect–by giving back to the community that has been so supportive. His entire team has been actively involved in a variety of charities throughout the years and especially in recent months. Last December his company announced Casteel Christmas, the newly minted nonprofit arm of Casteel Heating & Cooling. The organization provides furnace repairs to Cobb and Fulton county residents who can’t afford them.

“There are several strong programs to help low income residents pay utility bills,” says Casteel, founder of Casteel Heating & Cooling. “But we are concerned about people whose furnaces aren’t even working. We’ve been inspired by programs like H.E.A.T and EAP to create change by giving back to our local community.” The program is designed to be the first in an annual campaign involving other community-minded organizations like Cobb EMC, Ironstone Bank, Kudzu.com, Mount Bethel United Methodist, and Marietta Church of God. This first year they were able to aid over 200 families and hope to double that number next year.

In addition to this program,Bob Casteel has spearheaded efforts to help Atlanta residents to qualify for the new tax rebate, saving individual families upwards of $3,400. The rebates make these important home investment purchases affordable for many homeowners who could not otherwise afford to invest. “We provided both Casteel and manufacturer savings, up to $1,900. In fact, last year we won Amana’s ‘Going Green’ award for installing more Amana Ultra High Efficiency units than anyone else. Some of our customers have noted that their monthly energy bills dropped 31%,” adds Casteel.

And while Bob Casteel is committed to keeping homeowners comfortable with efficient units, he is also just as committed to consumer health and well-being, focusing his most recent outreach efforts on educating consumers about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning.

“We’ve seen some uncomfortably close calls. So we came up with the Casteel Carbon Monoxide Protection Program. No one needs to die from this deadly gas,” says Casteel. The company recently launched their “Thermo” campaign aimed at keep consumers educated about the silent danger to their families that may be lurking in their homes.

Spring is a traditional time to clean and repair your home after the long winter season. It is also the best time to have an HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) contractor perform an annual pre-summer inspection of your system. This will ensure that your cooling system will be working properly when the hot, humid summer weather arrives.

According to ENERGY STAR, a typical contractor maintenance check-up should include the following:

  • Check furnace system controls and thermostat. This will insure that the starting cycle is working properly so the unit keeps you comfortable when you are home and saves energy (and money) when you are away.
  • Tighten the electrical connections and lubricate all HVAC moving parts. Faulty electrical connections and lack of adequate lubrication can reduce the life of the unit components. An improperly operating system can also cost you in the increased amount of electricity you use.
  • Make sure the condensate drain is working properly. Not only can a plugged drain or pipe cause water damage, it can also affect the humidity levels in your home.
  • Clean the evaporator and air conditioning coils. Dirty coils can cost you money. They reduce the system’s ability to cool the home so it must operate longer, leading to higher energy bills. Longer operating times also reduce the system’s life and increase the amount of energy needed to operate.
  • Check air conditioner refrigerant level. Too much or too little refrigerant will affect system efficiency, increasing energy costs and system life.
  • Make sure blower components are properly adjusted. ENERGY STAR? guidelines indicate that airflow problems can reduce system efficiencies by up to 15 percent!
  • Change air filters on a regular basis. Dirty filters reduce system efficiency and increase costs.

Proper homeowner and professional maintenance will allow your system to do its job and save you money.
